October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Here in Orange County, approximately 250,000 individuals are impacted by domestic violence. Laura's House, a South Orange County DV support services agency, depends on community support to sustain its many interventions. Donations are warmly welcomed at dinner or directly to Laura’s House. For our December beneficiary, we have selected Doctors Without Borders. Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) offers medical humanitarian assistance to people based solely on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation. Their teams of doctors, nurses, logisticians, and other frontline workers are often among the first on the scene when people’s lives are upended by conflict, disease outbreaks, or natural or human-made disasters.

Doctors Without Borders bases their decision to respond solely on their independent assessment of medical needs. Doctors Without Borders works to ensure that their teams can reach people in need without restriction and provide aid directly.

Our theme for November is Balance & Boundaries, specifically looking to foster conversations about how to prepare for the holiday season feeling aligned and supported.

This November we are highlighting and honoring the work of Juaneño Band of Mission Indians-Acjachemen Nation. Our dinners are donation-based — pay what you can — and all proceeds will go towards Juaneño Band of Mission Indians-Acjachemen Nation health and wellness committee.
